From what I've known of Japanese swear words you have to put emphasis and emotion on them or local people in Japan will think your crazy.
Compared to English or Chinese, Japanese swear words are largely "lame" in their literal meanings, but that doesn't make them less potent/offending when being used w/i their social setting & cultural environment. :)

https://nerdbot.com/2022/05/14/netflix-secretly-reveals-more-sailor-moon-is-coming/

In many of the Sailor Moon fan groups, there are images of placeholders for seasons of the 90s show on Netflix. They have most of the searchable terms associated with the show already listed, so we suspect that they are going to drop the full catalog soon.

Sailor Moon Crystal” appeared on the platform last year around this time. It was also announced that another 2-part film, “Sailor Moon Cosmos,” will serve as the 5th season of Crystal and will come out in 2023. Netflix surely will also host those films as well.

We’re betting Netflix will make an announcement about the full “Sailor Moon” series hitting soon.

I can't stop laughing. Girls in disguise dancing Moonlight Densetsu and making the 90's poses, enjoying and celebrating the cultural phenomenon SM is while Naoko/Osabu insists on demonising the first animated incarnation and wiping it off the map.

I wonder why they didn't dance Moon Pride.

Which is starting to backfire on them.

Can you blame them that they didn‘t go to see a mediocre niche anime during a pandemic?
What about the highly successful Demon Slayer? I was expecting Eternal Part 2 to be slightly better but I don't know what happened here.

How Demon Slayer The Movie Became One Of The Highest Grossing Film Of 2020

There are multiple factors at play with Mugen Train's success. The first is the fact that Demon Slayer is wildly popular.
And :usagi: isn't? I blame TOEI's poor marketing on this. That and possible poor timing.

Demon Slayer is currently hip & a pop cultural phenomenon, to the extent that even non-anime-fans have to watch it w/ their friends who're fans, not to mention general anime fans &, of course, Demon Slayer fans themselves. Sailor Moon, of course, was also a smash hit, but it was then, a thing of the past & just a nostalgia for the present.

Well I'm still hoping the international market does give it that bump it needs to reach that 90s status it once had.

^ Q: Who's the guardian of the Sailor Guardians? A: That guy in black suit.

Quoting from the description of the latter clip:

様々な日本の伝統文化が披露された他、私にとっては懐かしのセーラー5戦士も参上。これがまた思いのほか感動ものでした。
子供が小さい頃、日曜の朝に子供と一緒に夢中でテレビを見ていたものです。働きながらの子育ての中、私にとってセーラームーンは子守役でもあり、どんなに助けられたことか、、、。などなど思い出してしまって、パフォーマンスが終わった後は思わず涙ぐんでいました。よかったぁ〜 可愛かったぁ〜
^ The Senshi performance reminded the clip's uploader of watching the anime w/ his/her kid(s) when they're small back then, & s/he was moved to tears by that memory.
