Season 1: best and worst episode

Which is the best and worst episode of season one? And why? Here are my choices.

Best: Episode 31: LOVED AND CHASED! LUNA'S WORST DAY EVER- I liked it because of the reference to gone with the wind, the fact that it gave Luna her own episode. The episode delivered some comedic moments, such as the narrow alley confrontation with zoisite, Rhett butler screaming refresh, and Zoisite in the sewers with rats. This episode reminded me why I liked anime.

Worst: Episode 20- IT'S SUMMER! THE SEA! OUR YOUTH! ALSO, A GHOST-I didn't like this episode because it was just a filler episode, I didn't like it because the story fell flat, and bland to be less memorable. The antagonist was a ghost that probably wasn't taken seriously. What ticked me off was that in the end of the episode everything went back to normal like nothing ever happened.

 

[Mamo Two-Face]

Classic had quite a few episodes that I'm fond of, but for Best episode: "Death of the Sailor Guardians: The Tragic Final Battle"

I didn't know what to expect so this episode was not only powerful emotionally, but a big surprise to see the Senshi doing battle with the DD Girls and being overwhelmed, and in pretty graphic ways too. It's one of the best episodes of the whole series to me. And of course, the follow-up is awesome and still doesn't take away anything from this episode and the girls' sacrifice.

Worst episode:

"Scent of a Monster: Chanela Will Steal Your Love"

This episode wasn't particularly funny or interesting to me, and Shingo didn't help, so out all of them, this is the one that I'd skip.

Classic had quite a few episodes that I'm fond of, but for Best episode: "Death of the Sailor Guardians: The Tragic Final Battle"

I didn't know what to expect so this episode was not only powerful emotionally, but a big surprise to see the Senshi doing battle with the DD Girls and being overwhelmed, and in pretty graphic ways too. I liked the Senshi's deaths in this because they each died to ensure Sailor Moon could reach D-Point. There felt like a lot more emotion for each of their deaths. It was much better than in Stars, where they just all stand in the way of the killer blast.

Classic is my favorite season, so is kinda hard to pick just one.

I like the episode where Mamoru and Rei go on a date and Usagi ask Umini to be her (fake) date.

I also like the one when thr princess awakens.


I didn't really like the episode about the wedding dresses.

Best Episode was definitely "Death of the Sailor Guardians: The Tragic Final Battle" same as Mamo Two-Face

and for worst I got to give it to the useless and pointless beach episode it was so out of place with the rest of the series that I'm glad DiC didn't air it

I guess the ghost/beach episode but I kinda liked it so eh? I guess it is my favorite show.

Worst moment in an otherwise good episode: "SHE STOLE YOUR BOYFRIEND!" Might be worst in series, lol.

Best episode: the one where all my favorite characters die. Am I a masochist?

Best episode : The last one (episode 46) with the last fight Serenity vs Beryl. Honorable mention to episodes 34 & 35 with the revelations of Serenity & Endymion.

Worst episode : Episode 14 : Painful boring episode with not one interesting scene good that makes it interesting.

Episode 45 is my favourite episode in the entire show, so I won't surprise anyone. My least favourite episodes are 7 and 9,they are tie. Both are boring.

The radio show episode and the talent show episode were both pretty damn boring.

My favorite season 1 episode would either be Sailor Venus’s debut or the episode where the Moon Princess is revealed to the cast

Season 1 is together with S my favourite.

A very good episode is ep. 34 "The Shining Silver Crystal: The Moon Princess Appears" and of course, 45 "Death of the Sailor Guardians: The Tragic Final Battle"

Can't say which one I like least, but probably one from the Jadeite episodes.

For favorite from first season, I do like the final episodes of the series. Felt like everything built up nicely to it.

As for least favorite, I'd probably say the lose weight episode. It felt like the story line was a bit chaotic and that the writers wanted to send a moral message to the viewers, but could not agree on which one ("Take care of your body" or "love you for yourself").

Eh not really. I didn’t get either of those messages from the Japanese version. It was pretty much “girls don’t give up on your mission to be thin!”

Best Classic episode for me, by far was Usagi’s Awakening: A Message from the Distant Past. The backstory we had been told in snippets was finally shown, and we got a solid idea of what the past lives were like.

Worst episode, without a shadow of a doubt, is the second episode, Punishment Awaits: The House of Fortune Is the Monster Mansion. As bad as sexual harassment and defense of such is in later episodes, that a possessed Umino flipped his teacher's skirt in what is supposed to be a "humorous" moment is one of the worst scenes of the entire series.

Best: Ooh, this is hard! I'd say a three-way tie between 24, 45, and 46. Yes, I'm a sucker for the tearjearkers. These episodes were so emotional. Episodes 34-36 were also great for dramatic, story-advancing episodes. For pure humor, I love episode 31: Loved and Chased, Luna's Worst Day Ever and Episode 29: Total Chaos, Messy Love Rectangle.

Worst episode... eh, probably one of the less interesting filler episodes... I guess I'd go with episode 17: Usagi's a Model: The Flash of the Monster Camera. I don't remember anything particularly interesting or noteworthy about this episode, it was just... there... o_o

The worst episode is by far the 20th, the filler one.

I can't think of any Episode in this Season I particularly 'hated', the quality only decreased over the long term.

My favorite is probably the last 2 or 3 episodes.

I guess the worst episodes are some of the early-mid season fillers
