I dunno but somehow reminds me of some S1 derpy face

It is actually based on actual frame from season 1 episode 24, and it bares some Ikuko Itou's touch due to that. But early Ikuko Itou was not the best (episode 5, anyone) . Plus the thing you posted has never been an actual frame in Crystal and it was further modified. Although the frame was derpy and survived for the blu ray, while in season 3 the derp was part of the actual design. And keep in mind this is just a fan art, and some actual professional animators cannot draw even to that level. I find it pretty nice, with beautiful eye shape and smaller mouth. I really hate the frog syndrom face.
One think I like in the new design by Tadano is the purple shades in Usagi's eyes, but for some reason there is no such color play with the others's girls eyes.

Jokes aside I doubt they will later adapt the Eternal film into tv shows, because they already subtitled it Crystal Season IV. If they find the movie format successful, they will make two films for Stars as well. I personally the two films, no matter of their quality, will bring sufficient amount of revenue, so I doubt they will go back to TV format.
This interview makes me really want to see the 5th arc, supervised by Naoko. It could be the chance to give the last arc finally more roundness:

Sailor Moon Editor Fumio “Osabu” Osano Discusses the Series’ Creation (Part 3)

And I want to see this scene animated!

If they do stars and remove this scene, there will be no point of this remake. Let's first see how will these films end up with Naoko's supervision. She has admitted she doesn't remember a lot of stuff she did... Fruits Basket under Takaya's supervision is shaping up great, so I have high hopes, but Naoko has been too lazy to draw for years, so the actual involvement on her side might be minimal. I wish she was more protective of her work and her supervision started 6 years ago...

Did it, though? She was never mentioned as a supervisor for Crystal. She might have criticized S1+2 so they added the funny moments, but I don't know if that's just a rumor. She hasn't been credited for supervision, so I guess her involvement was minimal and will be more of importance from now on. Maybe it's also a signal to the fans to show they won't screw this up but take this project seriously.

How big was her influence on PGSM? I never had the nerve to watch it, but people seem to have high opinions on it, so I may give it a second try.

"In 2003 Takeuchi became heavily involved in producing Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, a tokusatsu television series based on Sailor Moon. Takeuchi had an interest in learning more about the anime industry.[15] This culminated in the creation of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. The series displays a plot that is heavily reliant on the manga and also explores many themes that the manga was unable to explore. She showed up at the official conference with a fist up, meaning "good luck", in Act Zero."

She also had designs for Human Luna, Princess Sailor Moon and on the colouring pages there are pictures of the Senshi in their PGSM outfits drawn to Naoko's style at the time.

You can see her at 4:34 in this video.

^ She also personally auditioned the main cast of the show & had visited the set - even presenting jackets to the Senshi actresses in person during a visit to the location set in winter. :)

I am sorry, my broken English, I wanted to say I wish it started 6 years ago. I strongly believe this is the first time they are actually using her fo something more than cast approval and song writing for Crystal.

PGSM is awesome it is a gem of of the Sailor Moon series
Though it took liberties in some of the things it did. It remained faithful in other aspects like the special items on each Senshi outfit. I also love how each senshi, including Mercury could kill youma on their own.

PGSM gave us the Mars' we deserved. I've always wanted Crystal to play out like an animated PGSM. The whole thing with generals and stuff was interesting. Especially Zoisite. I really miss that show but anyways.

Didn't Naoko help with the Super movie Princess Kagauya?

Yeah I think she did. I also think that she did the character designs for the SuperS movie as seen in the Materials Collection.

Wow, she was quite involved. Is she credited as supervisor?
She was only credited as the original creator despite her various actual involvement in the production of the show. lol

Didn't Naoko help with the Super movie Princess Kagauya?
Her single biggest help is writing a separate manga story for it to base on. lol Its poster is also based on that tankobon's cover art, BTW.
