The latest bit of news was the leaked teaser confirmed as real and that was added to the post weeks ago along with the newest key visual.

I wonder how they're gonna handle the Sailor Power Guardians. Mercury and Jupiter get their crystals from their Power Guardians, but Mars and Venus don't, so I wonder if they'll stay faithful to the manga or if they'll work in Mars's and Venus's PGs somehow? Or perhaps omit the PGs altogether and have Mercury and Jupiter get their crystals another way?

I agree. Even though they have finished the movie by September, there will be such a bottleneck in theaters with all the productions that have been postponed to fall that Eternal may be postponed as well so they have less competition.

It's nice to see animators from different animes showing their versions of Sailor Moon.
I guess this "event" also refutes the idea of Ikuhara hating SM whatsoever.

I am realistic. Tokyo is still locked down, a lot of films and shows got delayed. We are waiting for June 30th which will be indicative. Till then there is nothing to talk about, regarding Eternal. I am getting prepared for a delay. That is all. Plus the whole discussion goes nowhere at this point. It will end fine and we will get wonderful films. I do not know why people have such an impression of me. I might criticize and all, but I love the franchise and I enjoy Crystal. It is nobody's fault that the world went crazy.

I'll be optimistic. Anything can happen and things can and do change for the better. We live in a highly digital/streaming era and the movie is 3 months away. It's a bit too early to know anything. Japan is pretty secretive about their releases and until word gets out that it's cancelled I am going to believe it still will have it's September 11 showing. If they make an announcement anytime up to that point stating otherwise, I'll have no choice but to do what I'm doing now, wait.

I'm still pretty excited though whenever I get to see Sailor Moon again. The Sailor Moon redraw challenge got me pumped up for content.
