Seriously, if you look at all your comments I bet 90 percent would be about that. Everybody on here knows it already. It didn't happen, it won't happen - just move on.
Well, I don't care although Bandai seemed to favor CLAMP over them by giving them the best studios TMS and Madhouse back in the day.

They made the movie named Cosmos which is unexpected...I was guessing Finale or Final.

Do you think the Starlights would have been more popular had their outfits been like the Inners' and Outers'? Or maybe even like Sailor Kakyuu's? I agree that their outfits are kind of bizarrely fetish-y, but I don't think their androgyny was really an issue. (Wasn't Uranus recently voted the most or second most popular character? Even back in the day, I think she ranked pretty high.)
Maybe giving them outfit with different colors would have helped, because they are all way too dark (and I'm not even talking about that weird leather swimsuit vibe). Animamates costumes have some interesting ideas, I wonder why she didn't use them for main characters like Starlights.
And even their haircuts are not very original (Seiya = Mamoru+Saphire with a ponytail lol). At least Kakyuu had more interesting details.

Do you think SuperS might have been more successful if they actually included the Amazon Quartet as the Sailor Quartet (and introduced them - as Sailors - early on in the season)? I wonder what impact that would have had.
That would have been an interesting idea, and would have made the useful during the season. In Stars they don't have such an important role (well, they are the only one remaining alive talking to Cosmos though). Btw the Eternal movie me like them more, I hope they will have some nice shots in Cosmos.

"Sailor Stars" does seem to have been treated as a spin-off/soft reboot, probably with the aim of keeping the franchise going with Sailor Teams from other galaxies, so I can understand why the Starlights came from a fictional star system rather than being based on real stars, but maybe doing a Sailor Sirius (for example) first would have been a better idea?
It's funny because when the 15 yo me was quickly trying to decipher katakana in a bookstore in Nakayoshi in 1996, I misread Fighter attack and thought it was "Sirius", so I thought for a long time that she would be Sailor Sirius or something like that ^^
But yes I think that they should have given them real celestial bodies names, that would have been more interesting. Exactly as in Saint Seiya where you have a sense of expectation of what would be the next Saint to appear (Zodiacal signs or else).

Maybe even generic names like "Sailor Comet," "Sailor Meteor," and "Sailor Fireball" (I know those are all basically the same thing ) might have worked.

I wonder why the '90s anime didn't include the Sailor Quartet. The fate of the Amazon Quartet is left a little open-ended at the end of SuperS (we're left with the sense we might see them again), and if Galaxia used Nehellenia to force-awaken Saturn so she could get her Sailor Crystal, why not try the same thing with the Quartet? Then Chibiusa could have stuck around and I think the show would have probably done better in the ratings.

Guys, I changed my mind. After watching SME in my relaxed state, I love it!!!
YES!!!

They un-MOE-fied it!

I just love those eyes on :rei:. ::love::

Also I didn't log here for a few days and I'm surprised at how low the replies here on this thread. XD

Yeah I'm not really that excited knowing how most of them end up.

I'm just hoping that at least Space Turbulence will not end up like most of the pointless power upgrades in the 2nd arc.

Good luck with the local box office on those movies. :quagmire:

I just had a chance to watch SME on a bigger screen (65 inches) with a surround sound system instead of my small PC. I watched it with my bluray to see each pixel perfectly. The thin lines work very well on big screen. It was such as pleasure experience!
