OMG...now seeing them all next to eachother...how could they released that crap in s1-3? It's horrible, especially s1. I think the skirt in Eternal looks a bit stiff, but i like the body proportions. Btw...I don't really understand that white thing in the background...is it supposed to be spotlights?
I am speechless seeing them all side by side. I actually hate season III skirts. Season 1 were my favorite (when they were done right). Season I also had lots of hair problems to the point where they looked like tentacles. The only part I truly liked from the Season I speech was a little snippet of her spinning before she goes into her pose but it happens so fast. Season I did have some shots where those skirts looked lovely.....a few shots....

I blame One Piece and Dragonball SuperS as most of their animators are more focused on them followed by unrealistic deadlines for a small team for SMC production. XD
Super wasn't even a thing during season 1 and both One Piece & Precure had their own problems during that time.

The hair thing must have been a concept, because in many promo pics we se a looot of hair floating around. It was pretty stupid and difficult to animate, and mostly gone totally wrong. In act1 it was nicely done, but already over the the top. In act 19 Usahi looks fine, but the hair makes it all just an ugly mess...this has nothing to do with tight deadlines, but with bad decisions and untalented animators.

Oh yeah. I remember that infamous SSJ3 scene as well. Nothing can still beat the header above this forum.

And we're all still wondering what happened with Crystal S1's quality with only 13 episodes to work with. XD

LOL. That hair ruined that scene. Looks like something from X-Men with a mutant girl with tentacle like hair.

Season III skirts could have been very beautiful if it was done right (like in the key-visual).

But once again, not every animator can draw it properly.

The Crystal logo was added in by the uploader, the previous videos that got removed didn't have it.

The song though is a huge red flag considering everyone has been using the Momoiro Clover Z version since the start of this revival (not counting Bamco & Japanese Sailor Moon Drops), then you look at some of the clips clearly being from season 3 but retouched and then the Kotono narration being the same as the last trailer except the last bit which could be from somewhere else.
Either this is a test version. To see does this works, or it's fake.A really good fan edition. The fact they use the original moonlight destiny, and reused footage.

I think the gootage is real, but has place holders for stuff they couldnt get their hands on. Look at it. It has too much detail and the effects are too good to be done by fans. Most of all Toei are deleting it from everywhere. They never did for any fanmade content. They have some beta footage, they decided to leak it, but tey didn't have the whole thing, so most of it is placeholder material. It just lools too well made yo be fanmade, and once again nobody would start copyright strike for fanmade footage.

What I'd like to know is: did they just do all the stock footage first (which seems likely), or does the presence of Venus's attack indicate we'll see it in the movie, suggesting it'll cover up to New Soldier Dream (but without the Outers)?
What would be interesting is: How many attacks does each of the senshi use in the Dream arc? How often does Mars use her Flame Sniper attack? Does she use other attacks during this arc? I mean, the concept of stock footage makes sense if you you have many episodes with the same attack being used, so you don't have to redraw each attack from scratch. It also creates in its repetition a moment of ritual to look forward in each episode. In the 90s Sailor Moon movies, where most of the attacks were inspired by the stock footage, but implemented in the surrounding, with the effect that we fans recognize the attack from the series (nostalgic moment) but we get something totally new at the same moment, which is exciting. If Toei goes that way, all is good. But according to the leaked material, they'll just copy the 90s animations and add some extra effects.

I think a lot of this comes from them trying to incorporate panels from the manga. That's why we've got so many awkward still shots with hair floating around. They're just not usable in an animated format. Personally, I'd rather take 90s nostalgia shots over those, since it was actually properly storyboarded.:P

Technically it is not really stock footage. As far as I remember they attack once in their respective acts and probably once again in the final battle - so soething used once cannot be called that. The black bacground might be for the trailer and the actual attacs might still incorporated. Considering they won't be using them over and over again, it might be ok. The transformations better be more original this time around. I hope they won't copy the ones i season 3 nor completely redo the SuperS ones. I assume based on the footage we will get Venus dream in this part 1 as the attack is in the trailer. I hope once they release the official trailer we get some more scenes. They should be really audacious to release the aready leaked footage again in 3 months... But tey might have done te attacjs and transformations first as well, as they are in most cases done by te animation n director. Once we get Stars, sonewhere in te faraway futre, I really hope they won't copy Moon's attacs from the 90s - they were so goofy. I guess for part 1 they will let Mercury kill Fish Eye herself so there won't be repetition of Usagi attacking twice with stock footage.

Watching the trailer, I see the first seventeen seconds we're the 90s anime. Its seems more likely this is fan made, or some of the clips is official. The trailer it seld is fan made .Looking at it, your right the footage might not be stock footage.

Like everybody else said it is placeholder. The trailer as a whole is obviously fan made, but the footage used is pretty much confirmed as official, but most likely unfinished.

The more I think about it, the more I believe Toei let this material leak on purpose to create some hype (I'm not really sensing a hype about the leak, do you?) and to lower expectations, so that we fans in the end will be pleased with the slightly improved end-product. Last weekend was supposed to be Anime Japan with some news about the project. They released nothing officially, even though there should be something ready to show.

There is not hype because it is not official, some of the best reactors and big fans I know like Aurora Peachy (she is amazing and a dear friend) refuse to watch and react to leaked material with shitty quality. Plus many people on youtube do not share reactions as their videos might be striked. I doubt they did it on purpose - it would have made a bigger uproar if they released it officially. This is done by someone that got fired or out of work.
