Maybe just a still pic of a rose outta nowhere at the end of a trailer? The rose thing is also totally absent in PGSM, but that didn't prevent the actor of Mamoru from posing w/ it on pics in mag articles promoting the show back then. lol
That version didn't had any powers at all. At least the 90's Mamoru roses were actually useful in a fight.

Outer Space
Tuxedo La Smoking Rose????

Anyways, I think Nehellania's hair definitely looks too "blue" and hopefully it is a lighting deal but its no deal breaker for me as long as her character delivers a good Nehellania. I kinda like her voice actor too as well. She's pretty. Her look also reminds me of Morticia from Addams Family, lol.

I just finished re-reading the last two arcs of the manga.

I thought “Dream” felt influenced by the anime and like a rehash of the the previous three arcs. Nehelenia is a Maleficent-inspired villain and she simply doesn’t have the same depth as Beryl, the Black Moon members, Professor Tomoe, Mistress 9, or Pharaoh 9 and Wiseman.

”Stars,” on the other hand, is a nerve-wracking arc. It truly demonstrates the strength of Naoko’s writing—especially considering the bittersweet ending that we are given. A bold decision. I wonder how they will adapt and handle Stars because it is a very strong arc.

Crysternal has a washed out color palette. There is almost no deep black. Look at Rei’s hair.
Rei's hair is not supposed to be black. I do not see the problem at the moment, considering this is the photo of the character model and not the actual file, with white background and light for the photo of the voice actress the colors are not accurate.. Let's wait to see the file itself to get the idea of the actual colors for Nehellenia.

When I was a child (10 years old), Dreams arc was the most interesting and it still be. It's the rare moment I could see their characteristics. Of course, Dreams arc in the manga has a much more serious tone than the SuperS.
The eternal form of sailor guardians still haunt me now, because that was what they were wearing when they got killed by Galaxia...

Throwing a burning rose? Or releasing a poisonous smoke from a burning rose? Sounds like a terrific attack either way. ::tuxspeedmask:
Poisonous roses? The closest to that would be this:

Little fun fact, both a certain swirly spectacled person and one of the Shitennou voiced this character.

I would have given Mamoru other different types of roses also, imagine how that would have been, or why not have Jupiter have a similar power, since part of her powers are plants.

Oh, hey, everyone can have their own opinion

I adore the “Black Moon” arc and I love seeing the image of Neo-Queen Serenity resting under the Silver Crystal, as well as Artemis and Luna discovering that Diana is their daughter, not to mention Pluto. I love how that particular episode was handled.

I dislike the “Dream” arc, which I am reading right now, I think it feels like a bad episode from the 90’s anime, with each chapter being too long—and with the senshi being confronted by their own fears and insecurities just like they were in the previous arc. Ami wants to be a doctor, Minako wants to be an idol, Makoto loves cooking and flowers, I got that, there was no need to repeat this information.
I never noticed Naoko repeated parts of it, I mean, I don't know if they had been mentioned before in the first arc or not mostly (Minako's love for idols actually started in Sailor V though), maybe it was part of the anime, but yeah, they could have fixed it, and reading the other post, yeah, the anime versions of the villains feel like they had more depth.

Yeah, the Black Moon arc handled those things better, and :luna: and :artemis:'s expressions were adorable when the found out about :diana: (I'm now worried to see how Stars handled them, the manga was brutal there).

I kinda like the members of the Black Moon family because their war with Neo-Queen Serenity was both political & ideological. They thought that not aging was sinful and they seemed to oppose living under the rules of a monarchy. I think they were really good villains.

To this day, I see fans arguing that being ageless and immortal would be bad for mankind—I don’t agree with them, but it is fascinating that Naoko was able to create such compelling characters that sparkled a debate.

The Black Moon family along with Galaxia (Galaxia is more evil than chaos; she wants to fool chaos and own the entire universe, so ambitious) are some of the best villains.

As someone who loves :luna::artemis::diana: and owns and loves cats IRL, I don‘t think I will be able to watch the Stars movies.

My first cat was a black cat who didn’t have an owner (we tried to find the owner, but we were unable to); he simply entered the house and became our cat and was an excellent, great cat—so beautiful and polite and dignified. He behaved like an English Lord. Not sure how old he was, but we lost him to cancer in 2016 and it was very difficult and sad. Thus, I have replaced the upcoming Stars movie with the old Stars season, which I am currently re-watching.
