Im sure they will summarize the final battle deleting some scenes and making it everything happening more closer in a few scenarios.

Not that I like the idea and as I have said since day 1 for the trailer... think Part 2 will get a technical downgrade and I would be really sad if that happens.

But hey, lets see what they do before judging...

I’m disappointed. Obviously I’ll reserve judgement until after I see it but 70 minutes will fly by. Why is it every time they somehow manage to mess up? We finally get a decent animated product with character designs but then they prove they haven’t learned anything from past mistakes with the pacing.

If this was a TV series we would have gotten Season 3 all over again and I don't want anymore Jurassic World jeep headlight eyes and Teenage Mutant Ninja Senshi frog mouths for the guardians. The movies were a good idea as far as the budget is concerned. Not too mention, it's my guess they have been working on these films for a long time or maybe a few years to release them like this. No idea how Deen was involved but when two companies coproduce together, the film supposedly gets a bigger budget because both studios get funding for the same film.

Also, a TV broadcast has its restrictions on what they can show during specific timeslots and if you put the Dream series in a late-night time slot it will get no traction to earn enough profit, if you put it in an early times slot, some of the scenes will be censored and it won't be a true adaptation that Naoko will approve of, if she has a pitchfork behind the scenes regulating what gets cut or not.

As a film, they can get away with a lot more, get a bigger budget for the scenes, and attract more eyes and make money which is what their ultimate goal is, or really Naoko's goal is to make a strong presentation based off her exact work while making money, the phages (execs) of Toei just want the profits...lol

Kon also seems dedicated to the project.. Poor woman sitting in her office looking like a Kisenian blossom is on her chest sucking every drop of energy she pours into the project.

They needed this because I can probably guess that the newer transformations, attacks, and ither flashy scenes cost money and they have to cut corners where they can with how much they are given to use.

A TV series seems like a great idea until it's actually not.

Also, the Outers look really good. C'MON Queens!!

If they can trim Dream to under 160 minutes, they should make Stars a single movie, not two, just one...and try to make it tolerable than the manga.

No wonder no one's watching the movie. Who needs an abridged version of the manga when they can stay home and read the real thing.
If movie director can adapt a 800 pages book in 2 hours movie like Harry Potter they can adapt a manga without problem in 2 x 70 min movies... That the secret of a good adaptation...

And if the movies are huge success on Netflix (what I think) I'm pretty sure they will adapt them somehow in a TV Serie... That could be also ONE reason why the movie are called Eternal and not Crystal. This is basically what happened with DBZ movie "Beerus" and "Freezer" and the creation afterwards of DB Super.

You have no reason to believe that.... wait till I least you see one of the movies before already being negative about them....

Books aren't really comparable to manga. One is a visual medium the other isn't, so the way they're adapted to screen is completely different. The fact that Crystal is (or rather claims to be) a carbon copy of the manga is supposed to be its selling point, but these movies are basically the manga with half of its scenes cut out. It's not appealing to the fans who wanted a faithful adaptation nor is it appealing to the fans who wanted something original.

Have you seen already the movies ? From what I read the adaptation is really really trustfull to the manga for the part 1. The part 2 is not even out... so

I heard that it's as faithful as it can be with its run time and the pacing is rushed.
