What shocks me is that the film book is out, and no one is commenting on it (information provided).

In the part where they talk about Luna, Artemis, Diana, in human form. They erased Luna's human appearance from the series' timeline (act 14).
They say the only time Luna appeared human was because of the silver crystal and the holy grail.

So, they erased the passage where Artemis sees Luna as a human (act 14).

Im not totally surprised since eternal began it has distanced itself abit from crystal season 1 and 2.

Luna appears human because of the Silver Crystal and the Holy Grail in the Princess Kaguya's Lover side story, which Crysternal hasn't adapted. I don't think the book is erasing that moment from episode 14; it's just erroneously based on the manga and not on the actual show.

For example, I had read here that many people had criticized the name (女王ネヘレニア) Queen Nehalennia (Viz) written in this way. And yet Viz Media was right. In the book, no Nehelenia or Nehelennia.

Yes, they take that into account, not act 14. For them, act 14 doesn't exist with a human Luna.

I’m not saying you’re wrong but the visual book doesn’t exactly say it was the « only » time she was changed in human. It just says something like « she was changed to human form by Sailormoon using the Grail and the Silver Crystal ». This phrasing doesn’t exclude the possibility that the S1 scene happened.
But yeah it’s very likely that they forgot that scene, more than they actively choose to make as if it didn’t happen.

I always thought it was Artemis seeing it, but not actually happening.

They say "Previously, Luna took human form through the power of the Holy Grail of Super Sailor Moon and the Silver Crystal."
It's a bit big that they forget some parts of the scenarios from previous episodes.

The phrasing doesn’t erase the possibility that it happened so it’s not really a contradiction. But it’s weird because it omits an event that happened in the series, and talks about something that didn’t happen in Crystal (Kaguya chapter).
I like Sapphire91’s idea that it was seen from Artemis’s eyes and didn’t actually happen.

I’m still upset about the lack of action in both these movies. One Hit KO’s are so boring and anticlimactic. Nehelenia talks a big game but she didn’t even put up a fight. Kind of tired of every season finale ending in Sailor Moon blasting a pink ball of energy and one hit KO’ing them. It’s boring. At this point I don’t expect Precure levels of action but they could at least make it seem like Sailor Moon is struggling.

One of the things I liked about Crystal was they atleast attempted this (Zoicite Vs Inners) even if the story boarding and animation was poor. The Senshi fight in season 3 was also very cool.

Hopefully Stars is a little more exciting in this regard seeing as Galaxia is meant to be the strongest villain in the universe and in the 90’s anime you really felt that (even if they dragged it out too long)

One hit K.O.'s are manga flair (or lack of flair.) Even the 90's movie had some action, whether it be Civilian Girls vs Kisenian Zombie People, Snow Dancers vs Senshi, or Inners vs BonBons there was some action in the movie.

I want to assume there aren't more fight scenes because they take too much time to do (and judging by how folks say the animation isn't consistent, that may be a good thing) and the story (or someone else) won't allow it. I am excited to see this movie for sure but I do fondly remember the leak of Fisheye attacking Mercury and him being dispatched so quickly that it was just like.....Oh, okay...but that's how it is in the manga. I pretty much doubt Stars will add in anything extra but I do hope Galaxia is menacing, considering we lose our Sailor Senshi so quickly in Stars.

Maybe if we get a new Sailor Moon series it will have more action but I don't think so. I can't be for certain but the series seems very micromanaged as of recent. The best action we got was in PGSM towards the latter half. An anime version of PGSM would have been ideal for me personally, imo.

Well in Season 1 it’s more i think a glimpse from her human form. Artemis seeing her for a second in her “real form” it’s not like for me like she was really turned human, the second he look agains she was a cat. Just a nice odd to fans, I really like this add (once of few good add things in the season 1)

I wonder how a scene reversing that, i.e. human Artemis looking at human Luna w/ the latter seen as a cat for a second, would feel.

I would love to see an anime adaptation of PGSM, too! I would’ve also killed to see how the original live action would’ve dealt with Sailor Moon S.

Considering the first season was released 7 years ago, they would have most likely forgotten their creative liberties from the manga and only took the manga as a source. Like heck, Princess Serenity's hair colour (or NQS????) has changed once again!

Even if they still brand Eternal as Crystal Season IV in some documents, they clearly take their distance with Crystal. One strange thing is when they redraw season III shots in Eternal style, but still draw skirts in S3 style (which is easily recognizable)... That's totally absurd.

Do you think that's their way to pay tribute to Akira Takahashi? They keep Takahashi's dress and Neptune's hair in those scenes, some of them aren't exactly taken from SMC3, but it happened in the time of SMC3.

Shame they do that. I really like the detail in the skirts in Season 1 & 2. I bet Sailor Moon's skirt would have looked lovely in this style, as well as the Inners new suits. I think Crystal S1 - 2 should have been a style reserved for Stars or something instead of being an earlier style. Maybe if that was the case, and considering Toei will most likely earn extra from the worldwide release of the Eternal movies, The Stars movie might be fine done in Crystal 1 - 2 style if it is consistent...I'm thinking back on the Black Moon Saga with shots like Usagi in her Neo Queen outfit while in Demande's room or the shots up to Pluto's death.

I'd like to drool at how gorgeous Eternal Sailor Moon's outfit would be in this style.
