Sadly I cannot see Stars end up epic. 
no matter the talent, the animation, the designs and the budget, while the ending is great, the arc as a whole is broken... They won't rewrite much, no matter the format, and it is so messy... It is repetitive, there is no development, characters are introduced and killed off immediately. I hope Naoko actually admit the majority of the arc needs work. Eternal is wonderful, because the Dream Arc is good. Stars is the messiest on every medium so far. Still I want to see the Animamtes, and the ending of the story as they are in the manga. I think it is time for us to start writing potential movie scenarios. Seira Hazuki did a great prediction for Eternal and was spot on with what they did in the end.

I really like the ending of Stars arc in the manga.
However, the way this arc was developed isn't good. The treatment to the other Senshi is pretty irritating.

They should die for the ending to work of course, but if they keep them for a bit longer would make more sense. Most of Stars is Usagi going from Animamate to Animamate killing them with the same attack over and over again. Let them do some work. Kill the Stars, or just cut them off - they are completely useless.
Guys did you sawthe Tadano sumbmitions for Eternal. Why didn't they let her realize that. It is gorgeous!!! Rei looks absolutely nothing like the finished design with that weird hair strand. And they have noses. And look their ages. The middle Rei kind of reminds me as revised and fixed Sakou.
The other sketch of Eternal SM is okay, I don’t like the profile though.

I still couldn't believe that I've watched Sailor Moon Eternal (Sailor Moon Crystal 4) already. It's hard to believe that the movie was released.

I don't think they can keep the movie quality consistently in a TV-series. Not to mention that the fights in Stars usually happen very fast. If it is made in to a TV-series, they will need to recap the previous episode a lot (like SMC 3)

Sailor Stars is not the best, but it isn't the worst either. Igarashi was given the hideous task of adapting a script that was a mess, was hard to fit in the anime formula, was against TV Asahi policies at the time, sponsorships, and Bandai and the producer's pressure to stuff the Star Lights down the audience throat to make the series a success again. Considering the obstacles he had to face Igarashi did a great job.
Many of the ideas are there, like the star seeds, the star inside your heart (Light of hope), chaos, the acceptance of the world nature (good, evil, sadness, happiness, the bright side of life, blah blah blah), Sailor Cosmos story was given to the Star Lights (three cowards who abandoned their place, with no hope for the future and at the end they learnt from Usagi how to believe in the world & universe again), Chibi Chibi (who wanted Usagi to kill Sailor Chaos in Anime to save it all, and to destroy the cauldron in the Manga) and Galaxia (The most powerful warrior letting the darkness into her heart like Sailor Cosmos "did" once she lost faith and travelled into the past).
The big difference is the scale of the battle. Stars arc has an epic style which written appropriately could compete against Madoka. The Stars anime version is more grounded and faithful to the formula established in 1992.
