I love my life. Guess what came in the mail today? The Super Live Event DVD!!!

Reasons to buy this DVD:

1) The event itself. It was long, and good. It wasn't just the singing, either, although I enjoyed seeing the moves to all those songs. It was the Shitennou! They made the show. They were extremely funny, and interacted with the audience well. Nephrite made a little girl cry. Poor little girl. He was like, "No, no, it's okay!" It was funny.

And Zoicite was playing this tiny little red toy piano! It was freaking awesome. And I swear, he and Minako were flirting with each other. I swear it. They were facing off, and she said something to him and they started laughing. It was teh awesome.

2) Behind the scenes in the bonus feature section. The girls looked cute (Parvus, if you haven't bought this already, I think you should--there's LOTS of Keiko, and she looks really cute), and the guys were hot.

I particularly liked when they were interviewing Sawai Miyuu, and you could see Ayaka trying to teach Matsumoto the moves to "Romance" in the background. He had on his Nephrite wig and pants, but a black muscle tee instead of his uniform jacket. And he was singing. It looked hilarious. I kind of wanted them to forget about interviewing Miyuu and go into the room where he was dancing, because I think I heard the opther guys in there, as well, and there was lots of laughing going on.

3) The "Important Discussion of Men." Female fanservice if I ever saw it (although I'm sure some fanboys will enjoy it, as well ). Everyone looked hot. They all laughed a lot, too, which was a great change from how they typically are. It was funny hearing Matsumoto talking like himself, and not like Nephrite (yes, I know you already knew that he had my undivided attention, and I was simply mildly amused with the other guys).

Yes. That one...was very nice indeed. :D

4) The menu. GUESS WHAT'S PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE MENU?!?! PIANO KIRARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*glomps Kaaj* I was so bent on playing the special features when the menu came on that I wasn't really paying attention, but then when we were done and I was about to turn it off, it hit me. And it played. The whole. Song. All of it. No talking over it or anything. I squealed. As if getting this DVD wasn't good enough!!!

Is there any way to take the audio off a DVD and make it an MP3? If they won't put it on a DJ Moon, at least I have it on teh DVD, right?

Anyways...overall opinion: BUY THIS DVD. WORTH EVERY PENNY. And I don't have a region free DVD player, so I had to watch it on the computer, and I still thought that it was worth it. There was over two hours of footage (we've been crashed out in front of this computer all freaking day), and it was good stuff. BUY IT!!!

*is envious*

Because the stupid moneygrabbers at school want me to pay about half of my friggin savings account, guess who can't afford PGSM for a while?!?!? I wanted to get The Little Mermaid DVD or CD to bring up to school too, because I haven't seen it in forever and all I have as far as soundtrack goes is a crappy tape with stupid kids music on teh other side...*sighs*...but like this is gonna stop me. Must have Kirari Live. It plays on computer, huh? *ponders* Might have to have Dad get new speakers, cuz I'm sure our comp can play DVDs...either that, or its a computer option to keep in mind when I go hunting for a comp/laptop...

Lol, I want to learn the moves to Romance! *damns personal idiocity at not finding out how to get a copy of Super Dance Lesson*

Where did you purchase the DVD, Donut? :P
CD Japan. I pre-ordered it. I guess it just came out in Japan, but they shipped it a few days ago so I got it today. ^_^

I dunno if anyone will put it up for download. I have no freaking clue how to do that sort of thing, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. :( But I'm sure someone will soon.

It's really good. I keep watching it over and over again. Even though I don't really understand much of what they're saying. I'll try to take some good screencaps that I'll post for everyone to enjoy.

OMG, Donut! You must rip that!!! **begs**
I'd love to, Kaaj! But could someone please tell me how? I think I could with Jukebox if I upgraded...but I don't want to upgrade! If someone could tell me a way to take the audio off the menu and make it an MP3, I'd love you forever.

It looks cool... has anyone who has this DVD tried it with a Playstation 2 and an Action Replay? (My PS2 Action Replay has this nifty region bypass feature, and I've never tried it because all of my DVDs are R1s.)
Really? I tried to play both this and my Chieco Kawabe DVD on my PS2, but it said it was region restricted. What's an Action Replay? If I can look one up and get it on my PS2, then I wouldn't have to search for a region free DVD player (they are much harder to find than people make it sound). Then I would be more willing to get Japanese DVDs. The only reason I bought this one was because it was something that I really wanted to see.

SailorDonut, your icon is mesmerizing AND it's cracking me up!

And screencaps would be AWESOME xD
Excellent. I am glad you like my icon. :D

Screencaps coming up! I took them of some of my favorites. I won't post them all as images, because I don't want people to get mad at me for making the page too graphic-heavy.

Zoicite's baby piano:

Kunzite's reaction to the piano:

Nephrite, loved by millions:

And a fanservice for all the Nephrite fans in the house (I could stare at this pic all day):

Nephy trying to kill Sailor Luna, and Chisaki (Ami) backstage imitating her as she sings "Sweet Little Resistance":

Lastly, for the Keiko fanboys:

(And a good one, to make up for the last one:

EDIT: I forgot the flirt pictures!

Yeah, Zoi and Minako were definitely flirting. :D

If there's anything you wanted to see that I missed, let me know. aDam, you say you've seen it, so...if there's anything you'd like to add. ^_^ (BTW, I loved the scene where Keiko was talking with her mouth jammed full of whatever it was--cake?)

Ok, an Action Replay is a cheat device, a la the GameShark. The one I have is the Action Replay Max. :P Anyhoo, it has a function on it that allows you to play DVDs from any region on your Region 1 PS2. Here's the AR site: http://www.codejunkies.com. Again, I know jack about this feature since I only have R1s or All-region DVDs. I think the PS2 Action Replay Max is about $35 if you want the one with the memory card.

You josh me. OMG I need to move to where you are. Here, they're like, "A what? Region free? Yeah, you wish they made them region-free..." I think we could buy them from an anime shop in LA, but they're expensive.

Yet another benefit of living in hell.

It's $53 (that's expensive for a single DVD if you ask me) so I have some questions....
1)It's all in Japanese isn't it? I don't know a word of japanese.
2)how many DVDs are in the whole package, basically how long (during)is the entire DVD(s)?
3)I don't know about the DVD region so does it play on US DVD player?

I think that if you check out CDJapan, you'll find your answers.

For ripping the menu's music, I suggest downloading TMPGEnc. You can try the free version here:

http://www.tmpgenc.net

I'm not sure if it will support DVDs but give it a try. Anyway, after it opens, close the wizard that pops up. Insert your DVD. Then go to File >> MPEG Tools >> Simple De-multiplex. For the input tab, click on Browse and then navigate to your DVD drive. In the drop-down menu, select All Files. Then, select one of the VOB files. It should either be VIDEO_TS.VOB or VTS_01_0.VOB for the menu. I'm not sure. You can play the VOB files to see. Anyway, once you find the menu VOB, open it as the input there in TMPGEnc. Click Run (make sure your destination has enough space! about 2GB should do). After that, you will have 1 M2V and 1 AC3 file. Delete the M2V file since you only want the audio here.

For your AC3 file, you can use BeSweet to convert it to an MP3. It's freeware so download it here:

http://dspguru.doom9.net/

Click on "Stable" at the top and then click on "BeSweet v1.4" After that, extract the contents to an empty folder and open the BeSweetGUI.exe file. In the program window, at the top where it says BeSweet.exe, click on the open folder icon to select where your BeSweet.exe is. Double-click on that file. Then go ahead and select your AC3 file as input. Set your output file name.

Then below the blue window at the far right, there's a drop-down menu. Select MP3. Then at the bottom, click the green button AC3 to MP3. A black window will pop up. Once it completes, a TXT window will pop up. CLose that. Play your new MP3. :)

If something is wrong, post here.

1) Yes
2) 110 minutes altogether
3) I assume your DVD player is Region 1 so this DVD wont' be able to be played. If you want to make sure, check your player's manual. Otherwise, you might be able to play it on the computer but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a fast computer and have a DVD-ROM drive and DVD playing software.
