One funny thing about Sailor Moon is that anyone (and I mean anyone) can suddenly show unexpected abilities, one you wouldn't expect from them and make you go "what the-" when you realize what has just happened. Who noticed what?
The ones I noticed are:
The ones I noticed are:
- Minako being a skilled martial artist from before even meeting Artemis (in the Act 2 of Codename: Sailor V she shows a surprising skill with her high kicks, not killing Taku even as she instinctively kicked him in the face with Sailor V's increased strength), and a hairdresser. And many more, but it happens so often that when she pulls one of her antics even the other characters are more annoyed at it happening again than surprised.
- Mamoru in the anime shows some good Karate when, as evil!Endymion, completely outclasses Sailor Jupiter.
- Speaking of Karate, bookish Amano Gurikazu from Codename: Sailor V showed his own prowess without any previous hint (even Sailor V was surprised).
- Rei in the anime showed Taekwondo skills... And the ability to quickly run from Roppongi (where her school is) to Azabu-Juban (where the others' high school is). I would expect the race from Minako or Haruka, not her...
- Michiru's brutal Pankration skills (used against the Germatoid clones).
- Haruka's driving license (a pet peeve of mine: it's just plain illegal for her to drive a car in Japan until she's 1. This one was actually pointed out in the anime... And Michiru promptly intimidated the asker (Makoto) with a vaguely Mafia-like threat.
- Eudial's driving license-as in, why does she still have it? That, and her ability to make her car come out from anywhere.
- Luna steering a Japanese ship (thus not from the Silver Millennium, as that could accomodate her paws) and flying to the US by standing on the wing of a plane (manga version of the Lover of Princess Kaguya).
- Usagi's ninja skills. They appear more openly when she spied on Mamoru and Rei during the former's brief stay at the latter's house, but at least once she appeared out of nowhere to Mamoru.
