While it's kinda hilarious, it's not sarcasm - in one of those events a presenter of an annual grand award, an old man w/ a prestigious status in the industry, said something like "is this a really good thing for the industry?" while handing that award to the member-representatives of AKB48 (it wasn't a "mic accident" - he deliberately moved near to the mic to say that).

A graduated 1st-generation member of SNH48, now a solo artist of SNHG & the leading member of 7SENSES (an elite subgroup of SNH48 ), in a nostalgically styled CM for this year's fall/winter lines of a fashion brand, of which she's the "fashion brand ambassador":

I do wonder how this happened it though. Are the styles changing? You said not as much but at all?

To put it very, very simply, idol groups aren't all about their music, & it's those various other features/attributes of them that partly, largely, or mostly push up their sales &, hence, put them on the top in the industry - it's so much that even "orthodox" pop artists known for "honest" musical works have to collaborate w/ (or as seen by some, "flatter") them.

Ok, that's unfortunate but makes sense. Black music had some similar portrayal in the mid-90s and now with trying to be "hard" so I can't say anything about one without the other. Sucks for the honest musicians though
