I have another one: Sailor Moon crossed with Shokugeki no Souma.
Makoto vs Souma in a Shokugeki cookoff? Who's gonna win?

I literally jumped back into my account to post this, but, a really interesting crossover I'd like to see done is between Sailor Moon and Devilman because, honestly, they cover a similar theme of love conquering, redemption, and how being a good person can make you strong. Heck, even their elements of horror are very similar. Really, the only thing holding this back is that Usagi is much much more powerful than anything in Devilman.

Hey this thread from my old account is still up! Anyway I still stand by what I said, both Inuyasha and Fruits Basket (manga/2019 anime) are two very good anime that would fit well with Sailor Moon in a crossover.

1. Inuyasha: 90's anime wise mostly, because you could easily headcanon the BMC as being the last remnants of hanyou dating back from the Sengoku era and that's why the Neo Queen and King forced them to either be cleansed or banished. (Personally for me I headcanon Prince Demande is half ogre demon, hence the 3rd eye) I've also read old fandom fics that wrote Demande & Saphir's relationship alot like InuKag. (Which got me to start shipping them in the first place seeing as how InuKag is my number 1 canon het OTP of all time) The two series also share similar themes such as Reincarnation, Time-Travel and Crystals, plus with Rei being a Miko and looking very similar to Kagome (and them both even being archers!) you could easily headcanon them as being related.

2. Fruits Basket: I don't wanna give out spoilers, but in a previous thread I made I cited this series as being possibly influenced from Sailor Moon, the reason being one of it's couples eerily resembles the Usagi/Mamoru relationship. The man in the couple feels he's destined for his lover because he saw her in a prophecy dream (sound familiar?) what makes this so easy to crossover is that this prophecy dream and why he felt so attached to it is never explained so you could easily make a crossover where this couple are AU reincarnations of Endymion/Serenity (I actually wrote a little one-shot for a FB zine based on this crossover) The main villain of this series is also eerily similar to Beryl, and the man I mentioned even grew up together with 4 other boys who could easily fit the roles of the reincarnated Shittenou (two of them who are especially close even have extremely similar personalities to Zoicite and Kunzite in fact!)

Some other series that I feel would be a good fit:

3. Madoka Magica: I am fully convinced this franchise was wholly influenced by the manga arc of Stars as it explores very similar themes and Chaos could easily be taken as the equivalent of Entropy, plus Madoka and Homura's dynamic is very similar to Chibi-Usa's and Hotaru's. An interesting crossover idea exploring this could have the Cats actually be variants of Kyubey and the whole past Silver Millenium and future Crystal Tokyo they showed the girls were actually all lies and illusions in order to make them "Senshi." (i.e. Meguca).

4. DBZ: I mean, it's one of the most popular crossovers with SM for a reason. It's SM's Shonen equivalent, plus both series deal with space and aliens/ailen civilizations so I feel Saiyans and their history could easily fit within the Sailor Moon universe.

5. Ranma: Again, another commonly crossed over series that's popular for a reason. I personally like to also headcanon Demande & Saphir as the reincarnations of Ranma and Akane.

6. Final Fantasy VII: What if Aerith was actually the Senshi of Gaia and Jenova was an incarnation of Chaos?

7. One of the Tales games, maybe? Don't ask me why but I feel like Tales of Legendia in particular would be a good fit (only for the 90's anime though) as it's a game that follows the story of an oppressed indigenous civilization that turn extremist due to that oppression, I feel like the Ferines and the Black Moon Clan would be able to understand each other in that respect, plus both groups features a younger sibling that has unrequited love for their older. (Though in Tales of Legendia's case, the siblings are definitely adoptive)

8. Yu-Yu Hakusho and/or Hunter x Hunter: I mean they're both made by Naokos' husband, shouldn't a crossover be inevitable?

9. Precure: Instead of Precure's obligatory within-universe crossovers it'd be cool if they did a special crossover episode with Sailor Moon, I mean they're both Toei franchises and are the biggest Magical Girl franchises of their respective generations, Sailor Moon was also Precure's influencer so a crossover episode would be a nice homage.

10. Kingdom Hearts: This is THE Crossover series, how could I not include it? Anyway, even though it's mostly Disney based there should be a Sailor Moon world Sora & Co travel to.

11. Utena: Both Ikuhara directed series, and it'd be cool if Utena & Anthy were parallel/AU versions of Haruka and Michiru. Both the characters and relationship dynamic is very similar.

12. For a non-anime/non-Japanese based option I actually think Steven Universe could work pretty well? Rebecca Sugar has already made it known she's a big Sailor Moon fan and SU was clearly influenced by it, but honestly just the fact that it's again another series based around Space and Alien Civilizations it'd be cool if the Gems civiliazation had their own place within the Silver Millenium, or if Rose and Steven himself are the Senshi of their respective planets.

Another idea I have for a crossover with Sailor Moon would be the old, mostly obscure and forgotten about franchise known as Gall Force (which actually did some things Madoka's known for doing way before Madoka was even thought of), mostly the first three films, as imagine if they actually took elements from the Stars arc (them fighting in the birth/deathplace of stars and living things) with the Solnoid and Paranoid armies fighting each other there too, even though Gall Force's concepts would have worked better had it been three anime TV seasons instead of OVA films. Although, I'm not sure if the two would mix, as Gall Force mostly relied on space/science and technology whilst Sailor Moon relied mostly with magic, but it would be interesting to see how they would mix, and it even had a similar theme from what Saturn mentioned in the Infinity manga/Crystal III arc, about destruction and rebirth.

Some of the characters even look similar to some of the Sailors; Patty looks similar to Ami/Mercury but with a more boyish hairstyle (wonder if her design was inspired somewhat for Ami?) and Catty's hair looks similar to Hotaru's almost (and she even shares a certain trait with manga Hotaru that Naoko originally thought of for Ami).

I don't think Sailor Moon would benefit in the least from doing a crossover with other Magical Girl series. That would just be more of the same. The point of a crossover is to bring variety in somewhere (and of course cross-promotion).

Final Fantasy might be a good addition. The series loves Bishi boys whom the fandom could pair up with the Senshis. It has many of its own magical elements and mythological allusions. Every part almost always ends with a global or cosmos-destructive threat and an extremely large amount of melodrama. And above all, Final Fantasy loves the Trope of the Chosen One, which of course is compatible with Sailor Moon.
What's also helpful is that each part always brings its own new cast with it. That means you could contribute enough (new) characters whose development has not already been completed.
Theoretically, the online offshoot (XIV) would be ideal for a crossover ...

I got another one. How about Darksiders?

Not really compatible. The main theme of Sailor Moon (besides growing up) was always to protect your friends. Darksiders as a series is based on the premise that the earth is already completely lost and that you are now scraping together the remains.

An idea for a weird crossover, based on Minako's time abroad before becoming Sailor V (in the anime she even specifies that her time in London as Sailor V had not been the first time): St. Trinian's. If nothing else, it would explain why Minako was so quick to accept Artemis as a talking cat: after surviving "Hogwarts for Psychos" (the words of a character, not mine) with her morality intact, becoming a magical girl is nothing.

Oh my gosh you nearly reminded me! Honestly besides VII the Final Fantasy I think would be most ideal for a crossover is IV, if only because our main protag Cecil, is literally descended from an ancient Lunerian civilization. You could easily headcanon that the Lunerian race in FF IV are the remnants of the destroyed Silver Millenium.

Another good crossover I feel would be the Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross game series, because it's all based around Time Travel and parallel worlds and I feel Sailor Pluto would have a field day with that! Honestly any series dealing with Time Travel would work well crossing over with SM from a meta perspective. Pluto being the de-facto Guardian of Time and there being an actual Time Gate she guards holds alot of possibilities. I've never seen the series, but I think this is why Doctor Who is also a popular crossover option, at least when it comes to Pluto centered fics.

I know of one. How about Skyrim? I can easily see them team up with my character, who's name is Millicent. She is the character in my avi. She and the Sailor Guardians have several things in common.

In the universe I envisioned, Neo Queen Serenity rules over the Earth, which is a part of the Galactic Republic. The GR are desperately trying to fight the invading Sith Empire which has become difficult since the Decepticons joined the enemy after Cybertron was destroyed. Fortunately the Autobots have joined the Republic and together we all fight for a peaceful future.

It seems whenever I concoct a futuristic story, it always has a utopian Earth with Crystal Tokyo and Neo Queen Serenity.
Goodness that's awesome.

I agree, I think it'd be awkward to try to fit most other Magical Girl series with Sailor Moon because their magical in-universe mechanics are just so completely different and they're running on drastically different laws concerning magic that it'd be hard to mesh. The only exceptions I can think of would be Precure (But that would mainly only be in the form of a one-shot parody episode to pay homage to both of Toei's major Mahou Shojo series) and Madoka Magica, because the latter actually has quite a few similar themes and mechanics with Sailor Moon, especially the (manga) Stars arc.Plus they're both Sci-Fi based. But yeah most other Magical Girl series wouldn't really work, maybee Tokyo Mew Mew since that's also Sci-Fi Space related and how the Mew Mews got their powers was through genetic engineering so it wouldn't really contradict with the universal laws regarding Sailor Senshi? Cutey Honey could also work now that I think about it, it's one of the inspirations for Sailor Moon/Sailor V and you could make a case of Dr. Tomoe getting the idea to turn Hotaru into a cyborg through Honey's father/creator (forgot his name).

Also I just thought of another crossover, Sailor Moon with Tenchi Muyo! Again Sci-Fi/Space themed, and there's one character in the latter who's said to be the most powerful existence in the universe and the true "god" of the universe. Perhaps you could make it so she was the sole originator of the Galaxy Cauldron and Guardian Cosmos?

Bleach, there are parallels between Usagi and Ichigo.
