If Toei released a follow-up to the original anime after Crystal (finally) wraps up, how would it be in your imagination?

Here's my synopsis for the first arc:
"Chibi Moon and the Asteroid Soldiers (Amazoness Quartet) are in training in 31th century Crystal Tokyo. The kingdom lives a moment of peace, but the Inner Senshi are preparing them just in case a new battle happens, so they can be their successors. Neo Queen Serenity hasn't used her powers since long, and the Inners basically just transform in order to train the Asteroid Senshi. But during the night, the Witches 5 appear, reincarnated. The Asteroids face them, but they aren't a match. The Witches then invade the castle, and before the Inners can do anything, Tellu poisons them into sleep using flower powder. Then, they surrender Serenity and abduct Endymion into a secret location.
The Asteroids reunite with the Inners and Serenity, and wonder who resurrected the Witches 5. Then, the outers, who were guarding the outer space just like they did in their past lives, appear. Saturn tells them that during sleep, she had a vision of Queen Beryl swearing loyalty to someone. As the story goes, they realize Queen Beryl has also been reincarnated as someone's subordinate and the abduct of Endymion is just the start of a plan to take over Crystal Tokyo and they must put an end to it. With the help of old acquaintances as Galaxia, Pegasus and the Makaiju tree aliens, a new battle against evil ensues, and everyone, including Serenity, is back to their Sailor Soldier routine."

Second arc:
"After the battle against Queen Beryl finally ends, they realize the unknown "puppeteer" hasn't given up and ressurects other foes from the past. Rubeus, Esmeraude and Kaolinite join him in his war against Crystal Tokyo. Will Sailor Moon and her allies be able to protect their kingdom once again? This time, they are also joined by Kakyuu and the Sailor Starlights."

I could see the thing with Chibimoon and the astroid senshi in fact my fic has that be the next "season" like event after Stars with one of my OC Villains show up and this villain is linked to Chaos

basically I'm saying ChibiMoon and the Astroid Senshi in Crystal Tokyo seems like the next step after stars

Well for me I would use certain stories from the manga, Sera Myu and maybe even PGSM that have never been adapted. Like for instance I would love to do a Codename Sailor V prequel which would basically be based on the manga story but made canon to the 90s anime and then maybe a Codename Sailor V movie based on the London stuff with Katarina etc. We could also adapt some of the original Sera Myu stories into seasons like the Kaguya Island arc, the Dracul arc the Dark Sirius arc etc. Besides that I would like a season showing how Crystal Tokyo was founded and how the Earth was frozen etc.

If there ever was a sequel to Sailor Moon, I'd want something altogether a little different. I'd really like to see something similar to Kunihiko Ikuhara's original idea for the SuperS movie come to life, with Uranus and Neptune as the main characters, however perhaps there's not as much point now since he basically realized that concept in Revolutionary Girl Utena. Something else I'd like to see is a darker, more psychological take, something like Sailor Moon meets Evangelion. I doubt any of these would actually come to fruition though due to a lack of mainstream appeal.

That wouldn't be Sailor Moon to begin with lol

If there were a new season of the anime, I'd like to see the following:

  1. A new threat to face all of our present heroes for an entire season, not just for a mini-arc and with no interloping heroes to come in to make things more complicated. The underlings of this boss serve as foils for the Sailor Guardians (except Sailor Moon), but this time with a squad of eight instead of a squad of four. In a twist, their disguised forms actually become good friends of the Guardian they mirror (for instance, Ami becomes good friends with the ice-sculptor, who is the disguised villain). However, as the heroes fight the villains, the main villain spreads her influence on the Guardians, turning them against Sailor Moon.
  2. Showing exactly what happened to cause the rise of Crystal Tokyo, with hopefully a callback to the Dark Kingdom arc. My idea has long been for the lost Moon Stick to return with a corrupted Crystal fragment.
  3. The restoration of the Moon Kingdom in full in the era of Crystal Tokyo and the consequences of a solar-system power regaining its former glory after ages of being dormant. Also, the inevitable ascension of the Princesses to their thrones as queens.

I don't want a sequel to the '90s anime. It's clear Toei can't deliver high-quality anime shows anymore; neither in terms of storytelling nor animation. I'd much rather get a sequel to PGSM instead.
I agree. It would have been really fun to see PGSM tackle the remaining four arcs and maybe go beyond after that

If it was a continuation of the 90s anime, I would focus on elements original to that continuity since we now have an anime that's hyper-focused on the manga.

I would do a three part movie series called Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Refresh. It would loosely adapt Another Story and would use the Oppositio Senshi as the main antagonists. The original voice actors would return to play the senshi, but I'd cast the Crystal!Inners for the Oppositio Senshi (Kotono would voice both Usagi and Sin).

The first film would take place some time after Stars. Reika and Motoki are getting married, and Reika asks Usagi and the girls to be her bridesmaids (since Reika travels quite frequently and doesn't have a lot of friends in Tokyo).
Later that day, Ryo meets up with Ami at Crown Parlor and he begins to tell her of a troubling vision he has. The former carriers of the Rainbow Crystal are being kidnapped by "shadows" that resemble the Seven Great Youma. The other night, Haruka and Michiru, while attending Yumemi Yumeno's new art gallery, were attacked by Binah's Shadow.
The film culminates with Reika and Motoki's wedding being interrupted as the seven shadows absorb the Rainbow Crystal carriers, and then merge into the Super Youma that was briefly teased in the original anime.

The first film would tease the Oppositio Senshi, but they'd formally appear in the second film. I haven't thought too much about what the other two films would focus on, but I think it would involve Sin and the others corrupting redeemed villians like the Ayakashi Sisters and Professor Tomoe. Since their fates were markedly different from the manga, I think it would be good idea to explore their lives after they were healed by Sailor Moon.

Moreover, I think the film series would be a great place to reintroduce Sailor Moon: La Cygne.

For me something is sorely missing: the story of Queen Serenity when she comes to the Moon.
It was never told either in the manga or in the anime, it could be a good thing for the work.

We can't create a new story with the end of season 5.

Either talk about the past or talk about the future with NQS.

I would like to see the transition from the world as it is "today" to Crystal Tokyo. The anime explanation for it was the worst ever. I want to see the writers answer for their crimes and not make it sound like Usagi mind-controls people into being good. (I know she would never do that, but the anime makes it sound like she does.)

Personally, I would NOT want to see more attention paid to the Dark Kingdom/first season. We've seen that adapted in every medium.

I wouldn't mind seeing a complete different take on things, or a crossover, like they do for Sera Myu, though. But please--Black Moon, Death Busters, Shadow Glactica, Dead Moon Circus--I don't care. If you have to go over another arc, please let it be one we don't see as often.

But I would really rather see an entirely new one.

Usagi does not mind control people into being good that is not what happens at all. She basically in the 90s anime assumes the throne after ending the Ice Age where as I don't believe we know the reason as to why Usagi became Queen in the manga. However she does not "make people good." People can still be assholes and express negative emotions. Like those kids who were mean to Chibiusa and bullied her saying that she couldn't be the Queen's child because of how short they are and even say the Oppositio Senshi in Sailor Moon Another Story even though that isn't canon. Likewise it is a myth made by foolish deconstructionists that the Black Moon Clan were exiled because they refused purification. In the 90s anime the ancestors of the Black Moon Clan were exiled to Nemesis because of the fact that they were basically thieves, killers, terrorists etc. The Black Moon Clan were these people's descendants and actually wanted to return to the Earth and be friends with the but Wiseman twisted this desire of reconciliation to revenge. Where as the Black Moon Clan of the Manga were exiled because they themselves were a terrorist death cult that despised the long life of the people's of Crystal Tokyo and the Black Moon Clan themselves were evil criminals. In both cases it was not because they refused purification as no mass purification occurred but rather that they wouldn't be purified and be rehabilitated for their extreme crimes they did.

Oh, I agree. I'm not a fan of the whole "Usagi is an evil dictator/the Black Moon was totally in the right" mindset either. It's just, I don't like the way the anime explained it. I don't just look into what happens. I look into the implications of how it's explained. I felt like the anime failed in its vagueness, and when they talk about purifying, and "exiling people who resisted purification," it doesn't *sound* good. That's why I'd like to see what actually happened in a way that satisfies me, rather than "Well, she purified everyone and they all lived happily ever after except those assholes who wouldn't let her purify them."

Although, to be honest, it's been forever since I watched all of R, and I'm only going by what I remember other people seeing. Maybe they didn't explain it the way I remember.

Interesting as it would but Toei isn't of the same quality as they once were with storytelling and let alone animation as someone else had just mentioned. Another Story would be a very interesting take and Chibi-Moon with the Asteroid Senshi being featured as well. Would Sailor Moon get a whole new transformation above Eternal?
