As our famous admin @Rika-Chicchi has said, Sailor Moon tends to be consistent at being inconsistent. The Sailor Moon Crystal series has had multiple design changes with the aim to capture the original essence of the manga before slowly moving towards a more modern style with influences from the 90's anime. However, if Sailor Moon had the chance to have one style throughout all the arcs based on all the styles we have seen through Crystal, which style would you have preferred?

Take note this poll was made BEFORE the StarS movie that hasn't been announced yet.

I'd go for a combination of seasons 1 & 2 plus the Eternal films. I like the hair and lips from seasons 1 and 2. Yet, the Eternal movies have my favorite eye designs. Nothing from season 3, that's my least favorite in terms of art style & character design.

Season 1, if it had been done right consistently, like in the episode where Pluto dies, or the first half when Sailor Moon is captured by Demande. It looked so unbelievably gorgeous in those scenes, and while it didn't exactly mimic the manga's style, it certainly carried a similar aesthetic. I don't really have a problem with S3/Eternal's styles, but if they wanted to make this a legitimate manga adaptation, I think that would've been the best style.

Seasons 1 and 2 (with the DVD/BD revisions) because the art and character designs matched those of the manga very closely.

Eternal should have been first since they look younger and then Season 1 and 2 for later mature seasons with a consistent animation team working on the season.

S1 and S2 had very pretty style when done right but I see two issues with it. The top animators weren't on it and the story follows the shallow manga's storyline with some characters.

A blend of Eternal s1 and 2 with Eternal. S3 to me looked really derpy and these short haired characters having their skulls missing was terrible. I could have never started watching Crystal of s3 was the initial design. I saw S3 jjust because it was Infinity arc. But I am not a fan of Dark Kingdom arc that much and I wouldn't have survived dobe in Akira style. His episodes in s1 and 2 were enough.

It makes me cringe.... We need Motoki for a perfect ensemble.
In my opinion, his drawings are similar to Tanemura, the concept designer of Idolish, perhaps he is better off remaking Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne OR adapting Sakura Hime Kaden, two mangas of Tanemura.

Well, yes i can see what you mean. She did change her style recently, but her older works can be done by hikm indeed.

Her way of drawing her teen school girl protagonists is similar to him, which she no longer does since Akuma ni Chic × Hack...

His designs and Arina's fanart of SM do look similar.

Voted for Eternal movie style.
I'm sorry but I can't happen to like S1-2 style. Even before seeing the first episode, I wasn't very much a fan of the design or main illustrations (the one with Moon holding the Silver Crystal upon her head is atrocious). Which is weird because I very much like Code Geass design and illustrations.
S3 was a big relief from S1-2, but I can understand people not liking the precurish / takahashi design, even if this season was a big step up from previous disaster (not only in design, but the main atmosphere and realization was much better).
But now I wouldn't want Takahashi back and I'm fine with Tadano design (even if I wasn never a big fan of what she did on SM+SMR back in the days).

I like Takahashi and Tanemura's Shojo art style, but they taste like Diabetes something that I cannot watch too long.

Eternal style is to please 90’s fans who feel nostalgic—and, perhaps, to imply that Eternal is SuperS. But I am fine with it.
