Bleh, where's the "neither one can sing" option??
Since when has pop music ever anything more than a passing connection to actual talent? It's all just "product".
True true, but there is some pop out there I can listen to without cringing :P

<3 Over the Rainbow Tour cracks me up. Sawai Miyuu is a great actress and has really come along, but that song just means crack addiction to me. Maybe she got it from Ikuko...
Miyuu-chan sounds like an angel in that song! You just don't know whats good!!

ROFL... my bad! I seem to recall "sushi" being in the sub but I'll have to recheck later when I get home!

I was singing Kirari the other day and my brother just cracked up in the middle of it. I speak perfect English but when I sing Kirari, I say the English words just like Sae says them. My brother just DIED! He thought it was hilarious.

Anyway, Kirari rocks! I'm a Moonlight Real Girl too!

I voted earlier, but I have to post that I like the fact that Sakura Fubuki isn't quite as "disco sounding" as the other four songs from this show that I've heard so far!
I wonder if we'll get to hear Myuu or Chisaki sing in this story arc or the one to follow this one?

She sounds like shes screaming out in pain. I doubt she really sounds like that when she sings though. I think she only sang like that to be umm...Usagi-like?

Keiko/Rei is the best of the three Senshi we've heard sing so far. I think it helps that she also is the only one who sings a song that is suited to her voice (although Ayaka had trouble with Katagoshi ni Kinsei which is a pretty easy song) Keiko is the only one I've been able to listen to sing without building up a tolerence first ^_^ But I'm a singer myself and am picky.

I find it really depressing that Rei is trampling all over Minako in the votes, when Minako is supposed to be the actual professional singer type person. I voted for Minako because I'm biased, but I wouldn't be surprised if Rei were actually the better singer.

If there's still any question about who's the better singer (Rei!), this site has 35+ second clips of the songs that are going to be on each girl's upcoming CD single.

Each CD has one new song, and Kitagawa-san sounds absolutely fantastic in her new track. Sawai-san wins points for being energetic and her songs are generally fun to listen to. However, Komatsu-san's new song just sounds silly and makes me laugh. I guess it's "idol-like", but it's just not very good.

It's now obvious to me that Rei is scripted to hate karaoke so that Kitagawa-san's singing won't make the show's resident idol look bad. :)

OMG, in my still-up-at-4-frickin-42-am-because-I'm-writing-a-stupid-paper delirium, I just had this insanely horrible/fabulous thought: a Jyoji single.

In which case, I pick HIM as the actress with the best voice!

Hahahaha, I'm laughing just thinking about him belting out a tune.

On topic-wise, I'm gonna go for Keiko as the best singer. Love Miyuu to bits, love Ayaka as an idol, but Keiko's song had them beat. ^^

Personally, I don't think that Komatsu Ayaka can really be classified as "idol" material. She sings through her nose, for gods' sakes!! She's not much of an actress either, imho. Kitagawa Keiko, however, is WONDERFUL! Rei should be the idol, not Minako. Besides, I always liked Mars better anyways. . . ::sniggers:: I think this is just a devious plot on Minako's part in order to get Rei closer to her. . . mwahahaha. . . ah, never mind. . .

Listened to the clips of the new songs and they all still sound...not bad, but not great either. :grey: Usagi's new song is better than Over Rainbow Tour, but there's still notes in there that make my ears cringe. Rei's new song is boring. She has no emotion in her voice, and the song itself is pretty bland. Minako's song is pretty catchy, and though her voice is heavily backed up, probably in order to mask her inability at singing, I like this song more than her other ones. The synthy pop sound is rather addictive in a strange way.

First of all - everyone who's saying "she can't sing" or something like this
in that terrible "analyzing" way should take a microphon and record
himself, then put it up for everyone to listen.
All this pseudo-music-scientists are going on my nervs. :|

I really enjoy all of the songs.
But Minako has this "catchy" attitude, that makes her songs more special.
Also she has sorta angelic voice that sounds so sweet.
The new songs sound cool too.
My favorite there's still Minako's "Romance".

I already have lots of clips of my singing online. Of course, they're all at least a year old now and of poor microphone quality, so they're a bit bad in terms of my current ability, but if anyone ever gets really annoyed by my comments, I'd be more than happy to let you take a whack at me. Just pick your language! Japanese? Korean? Hawaiian?

I'm not trying to be mean, just giving my honest opinion. I suppose it's because I'm on the other end: I'm getting a bit tired of all the people who keep extolling the many virtues of such-and-such actress, including a singing talent that just frankly isn't really there. The girls aren't terrible, but they aren't great either. Of course, they're actresses, not singers -- I know that, and taking that into account, all the songs are of pretty admirable quality. I do enjoy listening to most of the songs, and I am looking forward to future character songs by the girls. With more practice, they'll get better, and hopefully, they'll get some better songs, too!

I know lots of people are hoping to whack me now... *braces self* I think Moeko's the best among all... :winces:

hehe.. anyways, that's off topic. I can't listen to their new songs cause both my realplayer and Windos media player aren't working.. can't download those little clips to generate them into mp3 either.. (cause I don't know how to  )

Personally, although I like both singers (Keiko and Ayaka), I still think Keiko's voice is more suitable for singing.. Ayaka's sounded a little "childy-like" and her songs as far as I've heard are more.. not suitable enough for her.. yeah, they sound good, BUT they aren't fit enough for her still, some tunes still had her hard to concentrate into.

Keiko's, well... her voice is more to the matured side. And they've caught the right tuned song for her by choosing "Sakura Fukubi".

Myuu's.. hmm... as I've said, haven't heard of the new songs and although "over the Rainbow tour" was a little to the pure and cheerful side, it still hasn't caught her style of singing yet. It was too bumpy for her to sing and some of the tunes were hard for her to get a chance to jump to the note immediately (because the song was too bumpy.. fast and bumpy... :grey: ) Looking forward to hear her sing some other softer and more matured songs... ^_^

That makes no sense whatsoever. That's like saying all movie critics have to be good directors. Just because you can't sing doesn't mean you don't know what music you think sounds bad. I can't cook for crap, but I know bad food when I taste it. [/rant]

Here here! I am a rotten singer and no musician but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to have an opinion on music and voices. Someone who can't draw can still appreciate or hate art.

But on another note, I am loving both Keiko and Ayaka's songs. I'm still not totally feeling Myuu's. Too too cute. I haven't heard Hama's yet though. Any good?
