Well, she's a kid lol.

She does question whether there "will be a future" though, so its not like she's not thinking about the possibility of Sailor Moon dying and the glaive falling screwing the timeline.
More seriously, yes, multiple timelines are likely cannon in Sailor Moon so each Chibiusa and Neoqueen Serenity is a slightly different version.

I've forgotten to also mention that any info leaking to the past would create a paradox, too. lol
Just for our understanding of time travel, which actually doesn't exist. We just theorize and maybe time actually behaves completely differently than we imagine and time travel works completely differently accordingly.

That totally makes sense, but like you've said, my above-quoted comment is only based on how we currently understand about time w/o the multiverse notion, & we might never really/fully understand it due to the limitation of our dimensional experience, on which our senses & knowledge are based. :)

Well, if we want to nitpick, we're actually all Time Travellers by Default; Every Minute that passes, we travel into the Future by one Minute.
True, but note that it's asymmetrical, as we can't travel backwards - there's no such thing as reversed entropy (except in movies, in which it's easily done by reversed playing, e.g. a broken glass on the floor reassembles itself & then jumps back to the table from which it's fallen lol ).

The first arc dealt with the past. Second arc dealt with their future. Like symmetry
I do see what you mean but I think for sake of artistic symmetry the time travel to/from the future would have been better saved for the final arc. First arc is past, final arc is future. This would have eliminated the issue of the 3rd - 5th arcs undoing so much that had happened in the 2nd arc. Admittedly a lot of Chibiusa’s future references in the 3rd arc ie “my mom’s super secret holy grail” feel so questionable. Why wasn’t that what you were looking for last season?

THAT would have confused Usagi. Unless Chibiusa knew that the holy grail wouldn't be made until the Death Busters came in which case the heads up would've been nice.

Don't forget there is String Theory.

But some scientists believe the very idea of a multiverse is just pure fiction.

^ And the string theory could be a mathematical fiction too - kinda like a self-perfecting tautology. lol

Maybe even reality is actually a hoax, too. XD

Don't get even started with the whole 'The universe is a simulation'. XD

A few intellectuals went gaga over it with Youtube recommending it at the same time.
Sounds Matrix-esque.

But let's say it's really a simulation, then the question would be: in what real universe the simulation is run? (Even if that base universe is itself a simulation, the same question can still be asked again, & so on & so forth, until the real one finally comes out - unless it'd infinitely be a simulated universe. :googly: )

One could go to a barbershop or a hair salon with 2 mirrors facing each other.

Kinda like that scene in Divergent. XD

Mathematically, the number of those mirrored images is infinite, but in reality, it's finite due to the photon's size. lol

The infinite number of simulated universes I mentioned in the above quote kinda reminds me of those infinite cause-result loops created by backward time traveling, wherein the cause is also the result, & vice versa. :googly:

Well, there is also the possibility that our Universe is an extremely bloated Dyson sphere. An Universe that an Omega Civilisation just created to harvest the generated energy. And life is mathematically just an unintended deviation.

The main question to ask regarding Time Travel in Sailor Moon: is it a Closed Loop or is it the type of Time Travel that changes the future? The franchise never really makes this clear, though I'm inclined to believe it's the latter in both the 90's anime and manga since in the 90's, Sailor Pluto specifically mentions how the future isn't set in stone, while in the manga the fact that Usagi was told that coming face to face with her future self could alter the timeline + the Senshi not being in their Eternal uniforms when they first arrive in Crystal Tokyo (though this was due to the fact that Naoko hadn't even thought up the idea of Eternal forms at the time) + Cosmos traveling back in time thinking she could change it + the Cats not getting revived all leads me to believe it is probably the type of Time Travel that isn't set in stone and can alter the timeline, though I have written fic where it was a Closed Loop too.

So life is like an impurity or parasite in it. lol

This is how I explain it to myself. Even if the girls were killed by let's say Paraoh 90 the future and Chibi Usa might still exist because it is the 30th century, there is plenty if time for them to reborn as they are having their star seeds and all, so there is plenty of time for them to be reincarmated and still get to become King Queen etc. When Galaxia showed up everything was different as she was taking their Star Seeds/Sailor Crystals and so they were unable to reborn anymore without them which made the future at actual risk. I am talking about the manga. In the 90s most stuff don't and won't make sense no matter what.
