Why Sailor Moon could create good villains to challenge the heroine unlike She Ra and WW?

Wonder Woman's villain has always been criticized for lack of a iconic role. Same for She Ra, none of the villain could even compete her with strength other than a clone.

Sailor Moon(especially the anime) got very well characterized and menacing villains of different types, even season 4 and 5 was not weak on villains' characterization. The manga didn't put that much effort on villains, but still a few like Demande, Galaxia and Tomoe were well done.

The new She-Ra is fantastic though ♡ it quickly became one of my all time favorite series lol. The cast was fantastic, and the drama of Adora vs Catra was so well done.

Even bad guys like Hordak had such great story arcs. I wish it hadn't ended yet;_;

Different taste here, I hate the 2018 She-Ra.

The 2002 He Man series was my favorite, too bad it was axed before She-Ra could make appearance.

Oh that's too bad. It's so good ;_; It, both Avatar series and Dragon Prince are all like my favorite shows. Watched them all several times each lol;;

But it makes sense because neither He-Man series nor the original She-Ra interested me, so yeah like you said just different taste is all.

I dislike it mostly too.It was too different to be consider a reboot.I dislike the changes of characters.I consider it a completely different show.

Sans Metalia (who becomes a much better villain upon rereading the first arc after Dream) - I thought all the major villains in the series (manga) were well crafted. They have clear goals, a reason to oppose the protagonist, and ideals that also clash with the protagonists. That's basically all you need to make a good villain. In the anime, Beryl, Galaxia, and Pharaoh 90/Mistress 9 were all well done.

i've watched the 1st animated she-ra but i don't remember anything of the show. Honestly i haven't watched wonder woman cartoons.
Superheroes cartoon and comics generally have good characterization for villains, maybe the fact that the protagonist is a woman has led to consider the product as difficult to bring to a large audience and consequently the right commitment to creating them has not been made.

Anime Sailormoon give a good characterization to some of the villains, especially in moments of redemption, is an anime marked by strong feelings of friendship and love so it does not surprise me.
Manga Sailormoon instead, despite the little space left to deepen the characters, it has the baddest villains that a person can imagine finding in a story for girls. the latter is very coherent with the type of narrative that clearly contrasts good and evil.
The enemies are very cruel and worsen as history progresses, so much so that those who fight them are extremely put to the test.

Perhaps the fact of being created by people who come from two different parts of the world, the first two series from men and Sailormoon from a woman and started in different years has contributed to a different development in the plot and characterization.
