because everyone is special.

I'm fine with Zoycite as a woman. Zoicite in the Japanese version is little more than a gay stereotype.Zoycite is at least entertaining. You can make the argument that Zoycite's portrayal is borderline misogynistic...but considering the super heroes are all female.

I like both the DiC music and the Japanese music. The Japanese music for its Charlie Angel's feel and its more emotional beats, the DiC score for feeling more tied together.

I enjoy the Sailor Says, for the awfulness and low quality control

Sailor Moon S is stupid. Look at our dark serious story about the apocalypse juxtaposed with the dumbest goofiest monsters ever. SuperS is awful too, but at least its tonally consistent, even when its being "dark" it doesn't feel as out of place. Neptune and Uranus are cool for their sapphic love and not much else. All the guardian Soldiers are much more interesting as individual characters.

Chibu Usa/Rini doesn't bother me...she's like uh mentally and physically six.

I enjoy the Optimum "translated" songs from S/SuperS. "Tear our Hearts in Two", "Love is in our hearts," "Let's Fight." I don't know if that's actually an unpopular, but I never hear any opinions about them.

Wow... Those are... some unpopular opinions.

I also enjoy the Dic music. (Not half as much as the Japanese, but enough to wish they'd release a more complete soundtrack.) And I also enjoy Let's Fight a lot.

And I like Chibiusa. I can relate to her.

About Zoisite. Yes he's a gay stereotype. But one who can teleport, and throw fire, and make crystal swords, and wins 5/7 of the crystals on his own when the usual pattern for a series of this type is that the villain loses every time. That and his gay relationship is portrayed as his redeeming feature. Sure it's settling... He also is vain, screams like a girl, and is killed off cruelly, but dammit I like him.

I don't dislike chibiusa as a character, I only dislike the way she treats Usagi (its like she took over Rei as of R with the bickering, that's Usagi and Rei's bit) and the spotlight focus on her in SuperS, I like her best in S and early Stars.

I prefer Chiba as Moonlight Knight also as Evil Endy and when he didn't remember Usagi lol.
But in as many here know I strongly dislike Tuxedo cape boy most particularly in the anime, but he's not so bad in the manga/PGSM.

I don't like Chiba and Usagi as a couple at all.

I dislike the R movie.

I like the dub Dic and Cloverway.

I like Linda Ballantyne as Serena well after the first few episodes.

I like the dic music.

Princess Sailor Moon scares me.

Despite how I feel about the main pairing, I hate the break up arc in R because it was pointless, a dumb test by king lavender geez if you doubt she loves you or that you doubt your love for her after all these years then maybe she's not the one for you mister 2098 face, not to mention the stupid timing, really, right after they've gotten back together, first Beryl killed them in the moon, being reincarnated with no memory, finally remember who they were but just then having chiba kidnapped and brainwashed in Classic then the memory loss in Ali-En arc a new enemy appears as well as a mysterious child that the enemy is after after aka your own kid mr. I'm king of earth in the 30th century, god help us, this time could have been perfect for the two of them to take care of Chibiusa and learn how to raise a child thus making them get closer as a couple plus more focus on dealing with the enemy without the unnecessary distraction of these two suddenly breaking up the way they suddenly got together in the first place. And future king endymoron picks this chaotic time to test their love? I would never do that. Stupid stupid stupid plan, making poor Usagi suffer like that all to see if your love can withstand the test of forced separation by sending dreams to your past self right after getting your first chance to be together. They also could have ended it in the sleeping beauty episode but nooooo it had to continue like we need Usagi to suffer more, sure chiba was suffering too but what do expect from the same nightmare night after night with King Freddy Krueger invading your mind showing Usagi dying? Lover or not nobody wants to see the person you protect every day getting killed in a dream. And I'm not buying that miracle romance hogwash either, only after the Crystal appears and identifies discovered and that whole zoi stab thing do they fall for one another, sure they warmed up to each other leading up to that but that was just going from acquaintance to friends, as far as that in the anime version is concerned Chiba only cares for Usagi because she was once Princess Serenity and that's it. Serenity could have been anyone and what if it were say... Minako? Chiba and Usagi would never be a couple in the anime if that was the case, I can see them as friends maybe but lover's? Not if you take Usagi being Serenity out if the equation. As for Usagi crushing on tux ha! Just a school girl infatuation, she's does the same with Motoki, the only difference is the rescuing honestly I wish Motoki was tuxedo or anyone else for that matter, anyone but this guy.

I like idea of human Luna but not a kid Chibimoon like clone sailor luna.

I prefer the original subbed anime over the manga but I still like the manga.

Opinions are my own:

The first season of the anime is better than the first arc of the manga.

That said, the animated version of Rei is just wrong.

Ami's character is alienated, absent-minded, and detached from the world.

... and Chibiusa is annoying in the anime, whereas in the manga she is actually likable!

On the other hand, Minako's personality in the anime is awesome. Although she is meant to become more mature and a leader after she stops being Sailor V (as seen in the "Sailor V" manga), I liked that TOEI didn't change her personality. Minako is, in my opinion, responsible for the funniest moments in the anime series.

TOEI didn't do a good job with the SuperS arc.

TOEI's animated version of Stars is okay, but it could have been much better and pretty epic.

I would hardly consider Zoisite a gay stereotype. He just is a feminine gay guy. By this same logic Zoycite is a stereotype of the angry jealous woman.

However I disagree on S even though it had goofy monsters the dark story was a great improvement. It is just a shame that they did not do the rest of the seasons like that.

On my unpopular opinions. I guess my main unpopular opinion is that I did in fact enjoy many of the unique dub songs and there is this dub game which I still love even as a kid. I also disagree I think the Outers were just as interesting as the Guardian Senshi. It is just as shame they were not given equal time like in the manga.

I don't know if this is unpopular or not but I actually liked the Starlights being changed to be the Three Lights twin sisters because I found the whole gender change thing to be weird and unnecessary. However what I would have preferred most is for the Starlights to be women who disguise themselves as men like in the manga.

I will however agree that I did like dub Zoisite as a character although her personality was very different from original Zoisite. Original Zoisite had the personality of a haughty, conniving and yet aloof prince and dub Zoisite had the personality of a diva and a vixen. I was kind of inspired by this to make my OC Zoisite's twin sister Hematite.

his not really a stereo-type, he many care about his looks, but he is willing to get his hand dirty. that is far from a stereo-type

This thread is about discussing your popular opinions, not about telling other people why their opinions are wrong. Take that up in another thread, if you want to do it.

While she is not my favorite character, not by a long shot, I like Chibiusa. The criticism she receives is a little harsh. Poor little thing is only six years old and she misses her mom and dad. I never thought her affection towards Mamoru was that strange either. It was a cute and innocent admiration. Usagi was being silly when she would make a fuss about Chibiusa stealing Mamoru away from her. It was funny... but gawsh... grow up!

I thought Season R was a big disappointment. I liked the whole Makaiju Arc because it was cute but the rest of it just did not live up to the first season to me. It seemed rushed and the ending was like a less emotional rehash of the previous one. I want to this season remade! I loved it in the manga.

Oh boy, here we go!

Shelly's unpopular Sailor Moon opinions:

- I'm not fan of Mamoru/Darien (except for some of the musicals)
(He's just a plan, uninteresting, character to me)

- For the most part, I like the SuperS anime
(Not more than the manga, just more than the average fan)

- I do not wear "rose color glasses" of nostalgia for the English dub
(I don't like the dub as much as many Moonies seem do)

- I like the "Dinosaur episode"/episode 67
(In a weird, kind of entertaining way)

- I don't like Naru/Molly and Nephrite as a couple

- I like the Amazon Tiro

You mean Naru and Nephrite right? Because Naru and Kunzite were never a couple.

Despite the DiC/Cloverway dub's countless flaws, I'll always have a soft spot for it. It may be an awful dub, but it's OUR awful dub. :)

I also liked both the DiC and original music.

Linda Ballantyne was the best Serena.

I think the only unpopular opinion I possess is that Michiru is bi. :p I mean come on, she hits on Seiya while he is his male civilian form, and I read on the wiki about her being used as a temptation for Mamoru in the manga. It's whatever, the attitude I've come to take recently is that fictional work is just that, it's free to be interpreted any way one likes because the stories aren't about real people, so there's no one to ask about it other than the creator, and who says a person can't have different feelings and opinions than the creator?

It's not as bad as some fans make it out to be, odd yes but honestly some people get too bothered easily but this is an opinion thread so everyone is free to say what the like or hate I'm only pointing out that just because it's unusual doesn't necessarily make something automatically awful but then again everyone has a point of view, that said I think the dino episode is ok.

The Naru/Nephrite arc in the anime is just plain horrible and cheesy. Like why was Naru willing to die for a man who was basically a stranger to her?

Mamoru and Usagi's "miracle romance" is kind of really dull.

I enjoy most of the changes they made to Rei in the anime (although I like her equally in the manga but for different reasons).

Haruka and Michiru's relationship is kind of lackluster in the manga
