Whoops! Somehow forgot to include ballet and opera in the poll ^_^'

Anyway: I'd love to see a kabuki production next. I think that would be perfect for a Sailor V adaptation actually, given that most of the characters in that series are male anyway, and given how that series is more of an action comedy, I think it would work well as a kabuki play.

I'd also love to see a ballet production focusing on the Silver Millennium stuff. That would be absolutely beautiful to watch and, of course, it would appeal to an international audience.

Naoko already stated she turned down offers for Hollywood adaptations, because she thought they were too deviating from the source material.
good. i rather have a well-made japanese live-action movie instead of a white-washed located in the US.

I really don't care much about live action Sailor Moon stuff. I like the musicals and the live action but everything looks so ridiculous in real life, like the costumes and all the props. In manga abd anime it look somewhat elegant and cool. In real life everything looks cjildish, cheap and cheesy.

A live action movie would be nice, but I would not want it to be a Hollywood movie. That's not because "Hollywood is evil and will whitewash it" but because actually the reverse; they wouldn't localize it enough and leave it in this limbo of partial Americanization, flattening the characters while keeping the Japanese setting.

If you're going to do that, you might as well just leave it in the hands of a Japanese studio and let the foreign audience read subtitles.

One way to have the best of both worlds is just make some or all the cast members half Japanese Americans set in Seattle, Washington which has the third highest Japanese population in America.

If they ever make one, just ignore it. We already have the live-action and the Sera Myus with 100% Japanese casts.
There would be no reason to freak out if they ever release a movie located in the US with white actors. Especially considering there are two BLONDE characters in the main cast. A Hollywood adaptation would give a really nice boost to the franchise and I would support it, no matter the ethnicity of the actors they choose

A fully Japanese (or at least Asian) cast would be ideal, but since the upcoming ice show's cast is 60% white (plus Anza, who's half-white), I don't think Naoko herself would object to a live action Sailor Moon movie with a mostly non-Japanese cast. I mean, the ethnicity of the characters/actors in the ToonMaker proposal wasn't the reason that show didn't get made.

I would like actors of different ethnicities to play the characters. I envision Usagi and Minako as white (because of their blond hair), Ami as a Latina, Makoto as black, and Rei and Mamoru as Asian. I wouldn't care if they gave them different civilian names. Maybe they could use the DiC promo names. "Carrie" would totally suit a white live-action rendering of Minako

If they use any DiC names then the Latina in the group should be Lita then.

Mina can be Persian, but Usagai/Serena has to be Half Japanese as it would give her and Rei( a Japanese immigrant) something to bond over, Amy to be a (White or Black) goth girl with blue hair, Makoto/Lita as a Latina and Mamoru/Darien can be White.

Darien should be Latino/Hispanic since his music cues tend to have a Latin influence, and it would be a nice nod to Yuu Shirota, who played him in some of the musicals.

Beryl should be Jewish since she speaks (nonsense) Hebrew in the manga.

Rei needs to be at least half-Japanese.

I think the Four Generals should have ethnicities reflecting their domains.

Everyone else can be whatever.

That's the way see it, and hope when ever that my hero academia movie will be. Expecting a whole Japanese cast for a holly wood movie would not be realistic. So a diverse case is more ideal, and possible .
