There was a DBZ reference so the show is definitely about appealing to millennials

I liked that the music doesn't sound like your typical '48' kawaii music they've been over producing since its inception.

The musical styles & genres of the 48 Groups are actually quite varied & versatile, tho they do produce lots of "kawaii" works. lol However, the music in those opening 40 secs. of that clip isn't their work at all - the 1st half of the clip linked below:
