All of this talk of people not even knowing Sailor Moon was on the air again is just one more sign of how fumbled this entire project has been by Toei. I guess they really don't care about fans outside of Japan, but Viz did more to promote the redub of the original anime than anyone's done for Crystal/Eternal in the States. Well, better late than never, I guess.
One thing that slightly annoys me but is not a huge issue at all is the way Mars says her attack. I've been hating how fast she says it since I watched the clip in Japanese and would prefer her to have a pause in between Flame and Sniper.
I'm in the minority and this is just my opinion but I really am not too fond of Usagi's English VA. Her voice sounds a bit forced a little but I can deal with it after I watch the Japanese version first. I've never jumped for joy with the new English voices but some of them sound okay, like Jupiter's VA sounds cool.
I actually like the voice of Mars saying 'Flame Sniper' better in the new version than the 90s - but I agree, her timing/delivery could be better.
I'm also not a fan of Usagi's VA. It's pretty typical of modern anime dubs, though. I don't know if the dub studio Netflix brought on did it any differently, but it also seems that they were pretty rushed in the 90s dub to get everything done (case in point: every standard attack in the Viz dub gets the exact same audio recording of them saying the attack name). Hopefully Eternal was handled a little better.
