are they not supposed to be all females in the manga version (contrary to the supers anime)?

it’s not like I hate them in the old anime. But SuperS was such a boring season after S... I mean now that we can binge the 4th season I like the comedy part etc... but at this time it was one episode per week.
Nope. All of them are male. XDXDXD

I hope the movies will stick to the manga. I still love the Amazon Trio even there.
But it's true that the 90s anime gave them far more appearances and thus better characterization, which is actually a good thing. At least for me and those who like them.
I feel like comparing them is disservice.90s anime, and manga/crystal are different shows .

So, I'm reading summaries of the Dream arc, wondering how they'll split the story into 2 halfs. And I think they will follow the manga faithfully including Mercury Dream (Ami is fan favourite in Japan) and then combine Mars Dream with Jupiter Dream. When Rei goes into the mirror house, the others go in the circus tent and pass out. That's not really important for the plot, so I think they will switch it. Rei's story easily can run parallely with Mako's story. So after Jupiter kills Hawks Eye, Moon and Chibi-Moon get their final action moment by destroying the Lemures (this could turn into a great showdown). Pegasus turns into Helios and explains everything. The first movie will end with Usagi telling mamoru she'll forever protect him and the Inner senshi gather together, talking about the outer senshi.
YES, I think they will leave Venus Dream and the whole cliffhanger moment for the second part, starting with showing the Outer senshi in their normal life and parallely Venus going to the audition.

This would be quite cool. The second part of the story is more streamlined and it can be adapted in a quicker fashion, so I think they can add Venus to it without much problem.

Now that the full body shots have been released, I believe Tadano was asked to oversimplify designs as the Dragon Ball Broly.
The excuse there was to have better animation but with what we have seen...

and also isn’t it weird that the interviews with the actors emphasize a lot the 90’s show and say that it was a great season and it will bring awesome memories???

Wasn’t this season the one that almost got Sailor Moon Cancelled? Or was that an urban myth?

honestly I think that they are not major characters in the film so simplicity makes sense. It’s the Amazoness quartet that are in control of the trio anyway. So I’m not too fussed. We all know the manga so it isn’t that surprising.

' Sure they are going to mention the 90s show as a bait, but I am sure they are going to be the manga versions. Although Fish eyes hands are definetly a reference to the 90s. Hawks actor was told that he is onee - which he is in the manga, so... No worries.
Anyway, are we going to wait another 4 months for the Quartet? This is what took from the reveal of Helios to the Trio... And Uranus, Nptun and Pluto designs are still not uploaded on the official site. Full body designs are usually quite simplified. Look at the Shittenou by Sakou. Tge close ups are a different story, but the full body designs are just as plain and simple,

Fish eyes in the manga is like this his hair is turning turcoise in the bottom. Check the materials collection. He is manga accurate yay! They are supposed to look harmless and cunning in the manga at first, baiting the senshi, especially Hawks.

So I saw some comparisons on Twitter of 90's Amazon Trio designs with the manga and the Eternal designs and noticed that Fish's Eye's tail was two colors in the image they used.

So this got me wondering and I looked at SuperS clips again and noticed that in some scenes, Fish's Eye's tail looked slightly more turquoise while she was in her non-human form, but just barely. So I went and searched for original production cels and WOW! Turns out, even in the 90's anime, Fish's Eye's hair has been two different colors!! But I guess they didn't transfer well on film. Man, Toei really needs to do a new HD scan of the series. I KNOW they have the negatives and they're just lying.

We all know they are. They simply chose the simplest route with the Blu Ray release and needed the excuse. But I guess the two colored hair of Fish got abandoned by the animation directors, as it is there on promo art. It shows here and there but it can be seen as shading as it is quite subtle and rare.
